She Smiled Every Time She Thought Of Decorating

Oh it looks so good she thought to herself. She plopped down on top of the king-sized bed. She had just bought one of those king quilts that you could lie on and stretch out on luxuriously.

She had gone through hundreds of quilt sets to find just the one she wanted. She loved emerald green and the print was modern and splashy. She knew she had good taste and this proved it. She had the matching set with four pillow shams and it was the exact color she wanted.

Three philodendron plants of varying sizes, large on the floor, medium and small on the dresser top looked good. The cherry wood of the new dresser gleamed with furniture wax. She smiled her satisfaction into the mirror in front of her. I love to decorate, she thought to herself.

Her Tiffany lamps were a matched pair, as were the cherry wood nightstands they sat on. There were wicker baskets scattered about the room casually. She moved them around to find the best place to display them.

That’s much better she thought as she ran her hand over the carvings of the footboard of the bed. The hardwood floors looked a little bare over in front of the chest of drawers. She walked across the room making a mental note to buy a medium-sized rug.

I’m going to get a few small rugs she thought as she put her items in the drawers. She had black nightgowns and all colors of the rainbow among the many other items. She was lavishly shopping whenever she felt like it.

Life is sweet since we won the lottery, she mused. Remembering someone griping about how much she would have to pay for taxes, she laughed out loud. So what, there was enough left to generate income for three lifetimes.
